BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - In her tidy office in North Boise, Kerry Ryan is having a hard time dealing with sudden fame.A call this week from the website "The Huffington Post" has put her on the map.
Quite literally.
The editors asked her to make a prediction about the Super Bowl.
Oh yeah. One key piece of information here. Ryan is a psychic.
"I feel like I've been doing this a long time," she says, "but I've been doing this for three years."
Not only is she new to the medium business. She's not really a football fan.
She explains, "I don't usually predict football scores, but this was fun because my husband and son love football."
So how did she go about the business of predicting the outcome? After all, Ouija boards are for amateurs.
First of all, she tells the heart-breaking story of her son's death and how it led to a spiritual awakening.
Then offers this: "I had about five minutes, tuned in with my husband a little bit. I felt a little bit of energy. I felt the Seahawks in spirit."
Ryan was one of 25 psychics across the country who participated in this very unscientific survey.
But when all was said and done...
"I'm so sorry Seahawks fans," she says with a tinge of regret, "but I felt like the Patriots would take it."
Yeah, sorry, Seahawks fans. But the medium has a message and she's sticking to it.
"I thought okay this is a fun way to combine what I do with my family", says Ryan, "and just have some fun."
She got the team right, at the very least.
