Top tennis players gave fans a good laugh as they failed to identify the current Gen Z slang. Gen Z refers to the generation of people born from 1997 to 2012. They use certain phrases or words, also known as their slang, which can often baffle those not in the know.
Recently, a few tennis players took the challenge of figuring out their slang. The likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and others were put to the test and none of them were able to identify most of them.
Except for words like ‘vibing’ and ‘ghosting’, the players were clueless about the other words as they guessed wrong. Matteo Berrettini started sweating even before answering the questions.
In the video, Tsitsipas had the most clueless look on him. The funniest answer was given by Carlos Alcaraz, who misidentified the meaning of the word salty and took it in the very literal sense.

Cincinnati Open begins with a bang as the players gear up for epic event before US Open
The Cincinnati Open is considered one of the major tennis events in the USA as it takes place before the US Open. Players are eager to do well in the tournament as they try to get as much momentum and form behind them before the season’s final Grand Slam.
Last year, there were some epic matches and the event this year began similarly. The first round already saw some talented Americans out of the mix. Two of the top Americans, Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul, lost in the opening round.
