Clyde the Camel dies at Zoo Boise

Clyde was 21 years old and has been at Zoo Boise since 1987. Clyde was taken to the Caine Veterinary Center at Caldwell for a necropsy, which is an animal autopsy. At this time, the cause of death is unknown and it may take several weeks to determine.

Zoo Boise is sad to report the death of Clyde the Camel. Clyde was found dead in his exhibit this morning at 6 a.m. He appeared to die peacefully. The zoo's security guard had seen Clyde 45 minutes earlier and reported the camel to be acting normally.
