Clyde was 21 years old and has been at Zoo Boise since 1987.
Clyde was taken to the Caine Veterinary Center at Caldwell for a necropsy, which is an animal autopsy. At this time, the cause of death is unknown and it may take several weeks to determine.
"Clyde was always a favorite among the visitors and the staff. He is a beloved member of the Zoo Boise family and will be sorely missed,"
said Steve Burns, zoo director.
