Become an Expert Strategist with a Tab Key

Get used to consulting the map (“TAB” key) constantly.

At first it can be somewhat complicated since you also have to be attentive to what is happening with your character and units, but over time it will become something natural and a key part of your playing style.

Your Team

  • Number of living units deployed on the field that your team has. This helps you decide whether to attack, play aggressively or play more defensively.
  • Number of allied units lost.
  • Number of living allied players. It also helps you decide whether to continue attacking or play defensively while your allies can rejoin the battle.
  • Number of allied players killed at the time of consultation.
  • Weapon that each allied player is using on the battlefield. It can help decide the attack or defense strategy by trying to combine and vary the weapon you are using in the game.
  • House of each allied player. If you mouse over the house icon you can also see the name of the house.
  • Artillery that each player has available to build. You can combine the types of artillery with your equipment and vary or combine what is necessary to be able to carry out a better attack or defense.
  • Units that each member of your team has deployed in the field. You can combine or change the units you carry so that they can combine better with what your team has, many times it is not good to carry all the same units, which is why it may be possible to combine different units. Eg. Shields+pikes, Shields+Range, Pikes+mele different units. Be creative here.
  • % capture points that each allied player has.
  • Number of Kills, Deaths and Assists that each allied player has (KDA).
  • Number of enemy units eliminated by each allied player.
  • Number of enemy artillery destroyed by each allied player.
  • Enemy Team

  • Number of living units deployed by the enemy. This helps decide whether to play aggressive or play defensive by comparing the number of enemy units versus friendly units.
  • Number of lost units the enemy has.
  • Number of living enemies. Helps decide whether to continue attacking or play defensively by taking into account the number of living enemies versus living allies. Eg. You can take advantage of the death of several enemies (and the respawn time they have) to try to make a strong and fast attack on an objective.
  • Number of enemy players killed at the time of consultation.
  • Weapon that each enemy player is using on the battlefield. It can help decide the attack or defense strategy by trying to counteract enemy weapons and also helps to be more careful in case there are weapons that counteract those carried by your team.
  • House of each enemy player. If you mouse over the house icon you can also see the name of the house.
  • Artillery that each enemy player has available to build. Knowing the type of artillery that each enemy can deploy, you can better choose the artillery to carry to counteract that of the enemy or simply be more careful when moving around the map so as not to lose units t to lose units or lose your life at the hands of a Shrapnel or a Ballista.
  • Units that each enemy has deployed on the field. It helps you decide which units to take or change, they can be units that can counteract those that the enemy has deployed or it also helps you to be more careful with dangerous enemy units that can flank you or surprise you from behind such as cavalry.
  • % capture points that each enemy player has.
  • Number of Kills, Deaths and Assists that each enemy player has (KDA).
  • Number of allied units eliminated by each enemy player.
  • Number of allied artillery destroyed by each enemy player.
  • In General

The map shows you the positioning of each player and allied units, as well as the positioning of each player and enemy units (only if they are within the field of vision of the allied units or players).

By constantly consulting the map you can have a better view of the battlefield and it will help you position troops or decide the best path to attack. Also by having information about enemy positioning, you can surprise them from behind or prevent them from attacking you through blind spots.

Also if you hover over a player (ally or enemy), this player will be highlighted on the map and you will be able to know his position, this way you can advance your actions to counteract his possible attack options.

You can also use this last point to look for a player/unit that could be dangerous for your team (Eg. Some Cav, Falconettis or Prohibited guards, archers/fusiliers) since usually players stay close to their units to take care of them.

Units left to deploy (exact number of units alive/eliminated) and units lost.

P.S: And last but not least, using the right click you can send signals to your allies to indicate a point of interest to attack or defend.
