Rampage Jackson is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and a light heavyweight competitor in the MMA promotion, Bellator. The UFC veteran has revealed that MMA promotion, PRIDE FC had previously set up staged some fights to sell stories to the audience about rivalries.

“I know that there have been fake fights in MMA. I’ve never seen a fake fight in the UFC. But PRIDE was all about entertainment,” Rampage said. “All these Japanese fighters were pro wrestlers. Some of those fights were fake. And I’ve seen people hit each other, for real but it’s a fake fight,” Quinton Jackson said. “For example, me and you, we fight and you tell me to take a dive for $10 million. I’ve got to make it look real,” Jackson added.
