Coming into the third week of the 2023 college football season, many were calling Florida State the best team in the country. Strong back-to-back victories against LSU and Southern Miss left huge impressions.

That said, Mike Norvell and Co. came back down to earth against Boston College. Despite facing off against an Eagles squad that dropped its first game of the year against Northern Illinois and almost fell to Holy Cross, the Seminoles got pushed to their limits.

While the coaching and players disappointed for Florida State on Saturday, the cheerleading unit did not.

One Florida State cheerleader, in particular, saw her wild photos cause something of a stir in the aftermath.

In a weekend that saw a Tennessee cheerleader’s private photos go viral, a handsy encounter between Deion Sanders and Molly Qerim set the internet ablaze and a Missouri cheerleader’s personal racy pictures blow up online, it’s telling that an otherwise unknown Florida State cheerleader could leave such an impression.

But here we are.

That aside, it will be fascinating to see how Norvell’s squad bounces back from this scare.

Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos, a UCF transfer, ran roughshod all over the Seminoles’ defense. He racked up 305 yards through the air and 96 yards on the ground – while scoring both passing and rushing touchdowns.

If Florida State had this much trouble against Castellanos, it will be interesting to see what they do against Clemson’s Cade Klubnik.

Klubnik is obviously nothing to write home about, but he is coming off a four-touchdown, 169-yard showing this weekend. And as disappointing as Dabo Swinney’s squad has been thus far, on paper, they possess more talent than Boston College.

Will the Seminoles’ players right the ship and actually give the Florida State cheerleaders something to get hyped for next week? Time will tell.
