Genevieve Hannelius is spending time in nature – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the Sonny with a Chance star shows off her amazing body and flat abs in exercise clothes as she recharges in Maine. "No place like home 🌾," she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Genevieve enjoys taking baths, which are great for multiple reasons. They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

Genevieve loves starting her day off with a bagel. "I got egg and cheese," she says in a YouTube video detailing her day. You will find her snacking throughout the day. One of her "all time favorite snacks" is a rice cake with banana and almond butter. "So good, so easy, really satisfying," she says. She also loves "dipping oranges in some melted chocolate, putting a little sea salt on." For dinner she enjoys a stir fry with chicken, kimchi, and lots of veggies.

Genevieve's workout of choice? Dance. "I did a Ryan Huffington, I think that's his name, dance class on Instagram Live. He does these dance classes and they're so fun. You don't even have to be a good dancer. You just kind of dance it out and you get all your energy out and it's so fun," she says. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

Genevieve's drink of choice? A matcha green tea latte. Numerous studies have shown that a variety of teas may boost your immune system, fight off inflammation, and even ward off cancer and heart disease.

Genevieve prioritizes sleep, "going to bed really early and getting up really early, which is nice. I feel more productive. I just, I feel better about myself when I do get enough sleep and I wake up early and I start my day," she says. She usually goes to sleep between 10:30 and 11:30 and wakes up around 7:30 or 8:00. What are the health benefits of sleep? According to the Sleep Foundation, getting enough z's is a mood booster, promotes heart health, regulates blood sugar, improves mental function, restores your immune system, helps relieve stress, and aids in weight loss.

In her recent post, Genevieve spends time relaxing and reading, another thing she likes to do right before bed. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.
