Since Cody Rhodes became the champion by defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, fans are still talking about a particular segment. On the Raw episode after WrestleMania, The Rock came face-to-face with him and said their story wasn’t over yet, handing him something in the process. The American Nightmare expressed his thoughts in an interview, responding to speculation that the gift from The Great One was his Rolex watch that had been returned.
While speaking with Esquire, Cody Rhodes commented on fans’ rumors about The Rock handing him back a Rolex gifted to him on the Raw after WrestleMania. The American Nightmare stated that he gifted watches to the WrestleMania main eventers because he wanted to commemorate the iconic moment, recognizing that it might never come again. In the end, Rhodes did admit that it was a pretty good guess from fans.
He sidestepped a question and suggested that it was an indication that Rock might return to wrestle him in the future. Although the Undisputed WWE Champion added that he didn’t know about The Brahma Bull’s schedule, he still believed he would return. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns also went on a long hiatus after the Show of Shows and was spotted shooting for a movie.

Cody Rhodes will appear on the upcoming episode of NXT with a desire to meet some old friends
Despite being the top champion on the main roster, Cody Rhodes never misses a chance to follow the ongoings on NXT. Recently, he showed an interest in watching the NXT Championship match between Ethan Page and Trick Williams. That being said, WWE has announced that he will be appearing on the upcoming episode of NXT.
During the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that the 38-year-old star would return to NXT. Although the reason for his return to the black-and-gold brand remains unknown, fans are nonetheless excited. The last time he was there was in October, when he announced the Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
With the partnership between WWE and TNA growing stronger, there is a possibility of a TNA wrestler also making an appearance. Recently, Jordynne Grace came from TNA and challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s title. It won’t be a surprise if The American Nightmare has a challenger waiting on the other side of the forbidden door.
