"We have new pilots coming this year. I always try to find new balloons so that they're not looking at the same thing this year. We do have a couple of special shapes that are coming," says Spirit of Boise founder Laurie Spencer.

Laurie says the pilots and crew want to interact with you, your kids and your grandkids.

"I see people that have come generationally. I flew at the very first River Festival in 1991, and people come up to me, and they say, 'I saw you when I was a kid, and now here are my kids.'"

CBS2 is proud to be the exclusive t-v sponsor of the event.

Kids get free tethered rides Wednesday morning on CapEd Kids Day. Every kid in the park will get to go in a balloon.

Mark your calendars. The fun begins Aug. 30.
