Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane gave a whole new perspective to the heavyweight division. The two giants fought each other in a very technical five-round fight at the main event of UFC 270. The fight took place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Ngannou went on to defeat his former teammate via unanimous decision beating all the odds.

One would have never believed if you’d say to them that a monster like Francis would win his fight via decision after five rounds of excellent grappling. Beating Gane was no cakewalk for the champ. Twitter reactions to Francis Ngannou at UFC 270

The reaction the whole MMA world was waiting for. Jon Jones, the former light heavyweight champion and possibly the greatest fighter of all time is looking to make his heavyweight debut. The fighter is all in to face the champion and it seems like it won’t be much of a struggle for Jones to cope up with the big boys of the UFC.

“If this is the Apex of heavyweight fighting, I’m excited about it. Got some more records to break,” wrote Jones in his initial reaction to the fight. The fighter then went on to do his thing and comment on the title fight as the rounds went by. Safe to say the legend isn’t impressed with what he saw tonight.

The former two-division champion Daniel Cormier, who was once the heavyweight champ had nothing but respect for the heavyweight champion. “Great job by the champion. Who would have thought it would be wrestling and grappling that got him the victory. Congrats champ!” wrote DC.

Bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling was shocked as every other MMA fan. He too could not believe that he would see a day where Francis wins fights using wrestling. “Imagine saying “Francis can’t win a decision over a highly nimble and skilled Gane,” Then he goes out and wins a decision! The current sensation in the combat sports world, Jake Paul was not at all impressed with the big boys’ fight. The boxer who is 5-0 has been reported to make his MMA debut very soon. “Boring fight,” wrote Jake Paul in his tweet.
